Production Chef

 

Somer Valley Butchers are currently recruiting for a Production Chef based at our new Premium Butchers, just South of Bath.

Forming Part of Somer Valley Farms, Somer Valley Butchers will be launching Easter 2022, championing and supporting local meat. Our Beef will be largely selected from our own Herd of British White & Red Poll Cattle. With Lamb from sheep grazing our fields, all our meat comes from our farm or local partners.

We will be offering an on-Farm Retail Experience, including a Butchery Counter, Deli Counter, Charcuterie and Kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing process technicians

  • Ensure all production recipes are produced in accordance to specific specification

  • Controlling ingredient lists

  • Accurately monitoring and recording of cooking and mixes

  • Maintaining food handling and allergen handling standards

  • Quality checking the finished products

Personal Requirements:

  • Previous food prep experience

  • Team player

  • Great communicator

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Management skills

  • A passion for local food
